COVID-19 Update

(Black PR Wire) Miami, FL -- Unfortunately, COVID-19 does not seem to want to go away. Every day seems to bring a new update with depressing news across the United States. COVID-19 cases are still on the rise and unfortunately,
many people are losing their lives.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are 3,882,167 total cases and 141,677 total deaths, as of July 22, 2020. The social impact of COVID-19 is also taking its toll and changes daily. Topics such as localized outbreaks, mandatory mask requirements, business and school closings/openings, potential vaccines, and impending shutdowns are ongoing topics of discussion.

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported – from mild symptoms to severe illness. The CDC reports that symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus and may include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.

It’s up to each of us to stop the spread and continue the fight. Following CDC guidelines of wearing masks, washing our hands and social distancing are key steps in helping us to eradicate the COVID-19 plight.
