- Event takes place June 15th at 7:30 p.m. -

(BLACK PR WIRE) MIAMI GARDENS -- The Honorable Commissioner Barbara Jordan, District 1, Miami-Dade County, and Senior Pastor and CEO Dr. Gloria Y. Williams, Jesus People Ministries Church Int’l. (JPMCI), will conduct the Street Dedication of Northwest 42nd Avenue in honor of Bishop Isaiah S. Williams, Jr. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 15, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on the east side of JPMCI, located at 4055 Northwest 183rd Street in Miami Gardens, Fla. The event is free and open to the public. In remembrance of the Bishop, attendees are asked to dress in white attire.

“It is an honor to co-designate Northwest 42nd Avenue as Bishop Isaiah S. Williams, Jr. Boulevard. He positively impacted the lives of people, not only in Miami-Dade County, but people all over the world,” said Commissioner Jordan when asked about the occasion.

In addition, there will be an official Groundbreaking Ceremony for the "Isaiah S. Williams, Jr. Development" Affordable Housing Project and the JPM Centre at Miami Gardens Drive.

“With the Street Dedication taking place, we thought it fitting to also conduct the official ceremony to break ground on what will serve as the crown jewel of this community,” said Dr. Gloria Williams. “The ISWJR Development Affordable Housing Project and JPM Centre were two projects near and dear to the Bishop, and I am so thankful to see his dream from God take this major step toward reality.”

Located on nearly 12 acres of property, the JPM Centre at Miami Gardens Drive will provide job training, housing, educational and fine arts programs, child-care services, entertainment, sports recreation and more. In addition to facilitating community programs, the JPM Centre will also serve as a housing facility offering apartment homes for working elderly, adolescents in transition, and at-risk youth. The vision is to provide services and affect change through a committed staff, contracted professionals and volunteers working together to restore hopeful and safe futures for families.

Rooted and grounded in the city of Miami Gardens, Fla., Bishop Isaiah S. Williams, Jr. gave birth to the vision of Jesus People Ministries in 1983. Over the past two decades, the ministry progressively grew in membership, services and partners throughout Florida, the United States and the world.
