Black Women are Invited to be Pampered, Encouraged and Become the New Face of a National Ad Campaign


(BLACK PR WIRE) Cincinnati, OH September 9, 2010 — Procter & Gamble’s My Black is Beautiful LIVE! Arrives to Houston Saturday, September 11, 2010 and will be at the Reliant Center from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This beauty & wellness event invites thousands of local females to enjoy complimentary services, such as:


• Olay Facials
• Pantene Hairstyling
• CoverGirl Queen Collection Makeovers
• Crest Pro-Health Screenings
• Always Spoken word Let it Flow Lounge
• Secret Wellness Pavilion
• Massages
• Full Manicures

The event will feature performances from Hip-Hop pioneer, MC Lyte, and R&B/Jazz singer, Leela James. As well as, a new and exciting component: a national model search casting call. Auditions will take place throughout the day, where eight (8) semi-finalists will be chosen to advance on to the finals. The final 2 will be featured in a national ad campaign for the brand and appear in Season 3 of the My Black is Beautiful TV show.

One of the primary goals of the brand is to inspire future generations to adopt a new mindset in how they view themselves and uplift the way African American women are portrayed in mainstream culture.
