(BPRW) MSLGROUP AND EGAMI CONSULTING KICK OFF THE FIRST INSTALLMENT OF THE URBAN WORKS: INFLUENCER 360 PANEL SERIES

- Community leaders discuss the merging of brands and cause marketing within the urban community -

(BLACK PR WIRE) (November 18, 2010) NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- MSLGROUP, Publicis Groupe’s flagship specialty communications, PR and events network, and its strategic diversity partner Egami Consulting Group launched their Urban Works: Influencer 360 Panel series this week. This first installment focused on philanthropy in the urban community and explored how brands engage with diverse audiences to deliver impactful cause marketing campaigns.

“The event was a remarkable success, as thought leaders provided valuable perspectives and original ideas,” said Teneshia Warner, CEO, Egami. “The panel series helped facilitate a conversation between the top brands in attendance, which include the NBA, and the urban community. As a result, we hope that this conversation will help to initiate impactful cause marketing campaigns that will positively affect urban communities.”

To expand the event’s reach beyond the attendees, it was streamed live on Global Grind where viewers shared the community issues that matter the most. The online community was encouraged to email and tweet their questions for panelists to address. Additionally, BroadCause, a social media platform that accelerates, aggregates and activates passionate communities around cause-based initiatives, is continuing this conversation online all week on the site. The launch of this page reached over 4 million visitors within its first 48 hours.

“This event reinforces the powerful synergy between MSLGROUP and Egami Consulting,” said Caryn Carmer, Senior Vice President and Consumer Practice Director, MSL New York. “As we continue this panel series, we aim to provide even greater insights into the urban community and the unlimited possibilities it holds for marketers.”

MSLGROUP and Egami are also continuing this conversation on Twitter, and invite users to share what issues pertaining to the urban community. Tweet @egamiconsulting #urbanworks. Based on the findings of this panel discussion, MSLGROUP and Egami will co-author a whitepaper to educate the marketing and communications communities further.
