(BLACK PR WIRE) – April 18th, 2011, Miami, FL – A distinguished committee of community leaders and business executives have taken the task of going through each and every detail of nominations submitted by their peers to select South Florida’s 50 Most Powerful Black Professionals for 2011.

Now in its 6th year of publication, Legacy Magazine has profiled the best and the brightest in South Florida’s Black community and has given a voice to Black owned businesses and those interested in contributing positively to the interests of this community.

On April 22nd, 2010, Legacy Magazine will host a black tie reception in honor of South Florida’s 50 Most Powerful Black Professionals for 2011. This will take place at Macy's Downtown Miami, 22 East Flagler Street - from 7pm-10pm. The cost will be $50 per person and this includes Hors d'œuvres and an open bar. Official Sponsors for this reception are: Macy’s, Macy's Catering, Barefoot Wines and Remy USA.

Five Special Achievement Awards will be presented at the reception. They are as follows: Public Official of the Year –Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness; Corporation of the Year - Baptist Health South Florida; Corporate Executive of the Year – Macy's Rhea Brown; Company of the Year – Circle of One Marketing; and Business Person of the Year – Neil Hall of The Hall Group.
