(BPRW) REPRESENTATIVE CYNTHIA STAFFORD URGES GOVERNOR SCOTT TO VETO THE BUDGET
(BLACK PR WIRE) – MIAMI, Fla. – Representative Cynthia Stafford (D-Miami) issued the following statement:
“Today, I ask people across Florida to stand with me by contacting Governor Rick Scott to urge him to veto this budget. This is a bad budget. This budget doesn’t create jobs, it destroys jobs.
“We cannot have a job-ready state without a job-ready workforce, and the only way to have a job-ready workforce is to properly fund and make public education a top priority, which is something this budget fails to do.
“This budget unfairly cuts jobs, cuts pay, and cuts funding for education and health care, among other essential services and programs that are vital to helping hard-working Floridians.”
