- Event Swings into South Florida This Saturday, October 19th -

(BLACK PR WIRE) – Ready to sink a hole-in-one and have some fun? Here’s your chance! The Gerald A. Williams Legacy Foundation hosts its Second Annual Charity Open which swings into South Florida this Saturday, October 19, 2013 at The President Golf and Country Club, 2300 Presidential Way, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Event registration starts at 7:00 a.m. Golfers tee off at 8:30 a.m.

“This is a great event with a great cause,” shares Dr. Barbara Carey-Shuler, Palm Beach County Co-Chair of the Host Committee and sponsor of the Charity Open Grand Prize, a 60” Flat screen. “I am proud to be involved in helping to raise funds for deserving students and I invite the community to join us in this worthwhile effort.” 

Highlights of the event include an awards luncheon, raffles, prizes and much more! Golfers will enjoy the excitement of competing in at least three hole-in-one contests where a winner gets the keys to a brand new car or cash. Golfers can choose to compete for a 2014 Infiniti QX80, an Infiniti Q50, and $50,000 in the Charity Open Shootout!

Proceeds from the Foundation’s annual Charity Open will fund endowed memorial scholarships established in 2010 and 2011 to benefit Florida high school and college students, and honor the late Gerald A. Williams’ commitment to education, law and the community. Williams’ life-long work spanned more than 30 years in the areas of labor and employment law and public education, serving as counsel to numerous school boards. His advocacy for public education and justice inspired many teachers and students, and helped to empower men and women throughout Florida.
