(BPRW) Linda Knudsen Named Board Chair of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce

(BLACK PR WIRE) -- Coral Gables, FL - Linda Knudsen, a corporate director at Baptist Health South Florida, has been named the 2014-2015 Chairman of the Board for the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. A major goal during her tenure in this new role is to implement and execute business objectives and build the Chamber YOU message to help members obtain optimal business success.

“I have worn many hats within the Chamber but this position - by far - is the most important,” says an elated Knudsen. “I look forward to working with our members and the communities at large to implement effective strategies that prove to be a win-win for us all.”

Prior to assuming the role as Board Chair, Ms. Knudsen held the positions of Vice Chair of Special Events, Parliamentarian, and Chair of the Trustee Council. She has been an active member of the Gables Chamber representing Baptist Health South Florida for more than 15 years.

Ms. Knudsen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Art from the University of Miami. She has been at Baptist Health South Florida for over 20 years and is the corporate director of organizational culture and communication with the Office of Diversity. Ms. Knudsen is a past president of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Ana G. Mendez University System.

Merrick, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce is a 1,500+ member, not-for-profit business association whose mission is to foster and enhance the economic interests and quality of life in the Coral Gables community.
