(Black PR Wire) -- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a press conference to announce the newest VIP celebrity member of their statewide Roadside Litter Prevention Education Media campaign, entitled “Drive It Home … Keep Our Paradise Litter-Free®.”
The press conference is set for Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. at Miami Auto Museum at the Dezer Collection.
FDOT District Six Secretary, Gus Pego, P.E., and a representative from Richard Petty Motorsports, as well as Michael and Gil Dezer, owners of Miami Auto Museum at the Dezer Collection, will be on hand to provide remarks. In addition, the campaign’s newest sports VIP member will be revealed.
The state’s official Roadside Litter Prevention Education (RLPE) Media campaign aims to reduce the incidence of littering on Florida highways, promote pride in the beauty of Florida’s landscapes and educate Florida motorists about the dangers and hazards of roadside litter. The campaign seeks to educate Floridians and visitors on litter issues and change their behavior by leveraging the influence of athletes portrayed in a high-visibility, multi-media campaign with television, radio, outdoor and social media advertising components, as well as community events.
