(BPRW) Alfred Street Baptist Church Buys Out Eight Showings of the Color Purple for a Members Only Red Carpet Private Viewing on Thursday, December 21 from 6pm -7pm at IPIC North Bethesda Theatre

(Black PR Wire) Alexandria, VA – In an another extraordinary demonstration of support for Black culture, the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC)  based in Alexandria, Virginia has once again acquired all Eight (8) Theaters at the IPIC Theater in North Bethesda for a member-only private viewing of on December 21, 2023, from 6pm – 7pm. The seats sold out on the first day they were offered to members. There will be a red carpet for those attending the show starting at 5:00 p.m. hosted by Chey Parker of WKYS.

“The Color Purple 2023 is introducing this iconic movie to an entire new audience and generation of filmmakers and moviegoers.  Oprah Winfrey and Director Blitz Bazawule are opening doors and helping our people and culture imagine themselves in entirely new ways. As a predominately African American Baptist church, we are so proud and honored to be able to support this Black film and many other Black films in this way…where it counts, at the box office,” said Rev.
