(BPRW) BLACK WOMEN FOR POSITIVE CHANGE IN AFFILIATION WITH POSITIVE CHANGE FOUNDATION

- DROP National Essay Contest Deadline is October 26th -

(Black PR Wire) The Positive Change Foundation, in affiliation with Black Women for Positive Change (BW4PC) announces the final days for students to enter the DROP National Essay Contest, based on the film, "DROP: A Story of Triumph." Youth ages 12-18 are invited to describe their reactions to the message in the film DROP, that urges youth to to stay in school. DROP is a hard-hitting short-film where a young man faces the important choice of either turning to a life of crime if he drops out of school or, to pursue opportunities if he stays in school. The film stars actor Tray Cheney, of HBO's "The Wire," Bounce TV's "Saint and Sinners," and local actors.

Sponsors for the DROP National Essay Contest are: American Family Insurance, Saint and Streetfighter Foundation, and Highmark Inc. The deadline for entries is October 26, 2018.

Theme: Reaction to message in film about choices and risks of either staying in school vs. dropping out. CASH PRIZES: High School and Middle School Winners in each category. First Place $250; Second Place: $150 and Third Place: $75.
