(BPRW) Citizens for Judicial Fairness Names Jackie Griffith as Senior Strategic Advisor for Government and Community Relations

(Black PR Wire) WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today, Citizens for Judicial Fairness announced the appointment of Jackie Griffith as its new Senior Strategic Advisor for Government and Community Relations. Jackie, a veteran with over three decades of experience in government relations, public policy, and community outreach, brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of leadership to this newly created role.

In her new position, Jackie will oversee all aspects of Citizens for Judicial Fairness community engagement and government relations efforts and foster partnerships with key stakeholders to advance judicial fairness, diversity, and transparency in Delaware’s courts. Jackie’s role will build on the work of longtime Delaware racial justice advocate Keandra McDole to push for change in Delaware’s judicial system. Citizens for Judicial Fairness will continue to engage with the state government and courts to push for systemic change in Delaware’s courts.

“Delaware is at a crossroads, with bold new leadership in the Governor’s office and state legislature that is ready to push our state forward,” said Jackie Griffith, CJF Senior Strategic Advisor for Government and Community Relations. “I am excited to partner with Citizens for Judicial Fairness on this critical work to advocate for sustainable solutions that promote diversity, transparency, and accountability in Delaware’s government and courts.”

Most recently, Jackie served as Vice President of Government and Community Relations and Chief of Staff at Delaware State University, where she strengthened the University’s relationships with state and local governments. Jackie’s career is marked by her dedication to public service. She served in the United States Air Force for seven years, beginning as a financial management analyst. Afterward, she joined the state government of Delaware, starting as a Senior Accountant before moving into the role of Legislative Projects Manager, managing the $16 million Community Transportation Fund for the Department of Transportation. From there, Jackie moved to the Delaware General Assembly as a Legislative Analyst and then onto Chief of Policy and Fiscal Analysis, overseeing the evaluation of all funding requests from state agencies to the Joint Finance Committee and the Bond Bill Committee.

"We are excited to have a powerful local leader like Jackie join the important efforts that our network of supporters have pursued over the years," said Keandra McDole, prominent local racial justice activist. "Jackie will lead a legislative strategy that will create real change in Delaware's judicial system and lift up the work done in our community to fight for justice."

The appointment of Jackie Griffith is a significant step for Citizens for Judicial Fairness as the grassroots organization continues to push for legislative changes that will promote transparency, diversity, and inclusion in Delaware’s justice system.
