(Black PR Wire) MIAMI GARDENS, FL -- Graduating from Florida Memorial University over a week ago, Maria Victoria Kecskemeti conquered challenges and focused on her classes at The University’s school of business. “My objective is to develop my knowledge and skills for growth and professional experience to provide results in a company. Also, I hope to incorporate new skills related to my career.”
It’s no wonder that Ms. Kecskemeti was invited to the prestigious Global Strategy Competition. The Business Strategy Game is an online exercise where class members are divided into teams and assigned the task of running an athletic footwear company in head-to-head competition against companies managed by other class members. Company operations parallel those of actual athletic footwear companies. Just as in the real-world, companies compete in a global market arena, selling branded and private-label athletic footwear in four geographic regions — Europe-Africa, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. All aspects of The Business Strategy Game parallel the functioning of the real-world athletic footwear market, thus allowing you and your co-managers to (1) think rationally and logically in deciding what to do and (2) get valuable practice in making a variety of different business decisions under circumstances that mirror real-world competitive conditions.
“Only champions are invited to compete in the tournament. The tournament is for BSG champions from all over the world. Maria proved herself by earning a 1st place worldwide ranking in the majority of the competition rounds and winning my classroom competition,” said Dr. Kimberly Carbo Pellegrino, Associate Professor at Florida Memorial University’s Business School.
Maria is also the recipient of the Lifting Young Lions Foundation of Excellence Scholarship (LYLFOE).
