(BPRW) The 3rd Annual Salinas Juneteenth Celebration will occur on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Hartnell College

(Black PR Wire) SALINAS, CA. — The Salinas Juneteenth Celebration Association and Hartnell College are proud to announce that it will be hosting the 3rd Annual Salinas Juneteenth Celebration on June 17, 2023, with the theme "Unearthing the Past, Cultivating the Future." This free event is open to the public and a great way to enjoy live music, food, craft vendors, and more. The history of Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom and focuses on educating people about the importance of this day in our country's history.

Juneteenth is a newly recognized national holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Salinas' Juneteenth celebration will feature various activities, from live performances and a freedom fashion show to kids' activities, vendors, and community partners. This event aims to highlight our community's Black history, culture, food, music, and businesses.

"Freedom is a constant yet beautiful struggle," said organizer Asya Guillory, "We invite everyone to enjoy this memorable event as we celebrate African-American liberation."

The 3rd Annual Salinas Juneteenth Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 17, from 1pm - 5pm at Hartnell College located at 411 Central Avenue in Salinas. For more information about the event or how to become a vendor or volunteer, visit www.salinasjuneteenthcelebration.com.
