(BPRW) Millionaire Mastermind Academy Community Heroes Campaign Continues Mission to Eradicate Poverty

Fundraising campaign supports education and mentorship for women seeking to build businesses and rise out of poverty.

(Black PR Wire) Better than a gift from Santa Claus, the Millionaire Mastermind Academy Pioneer Program’s Community Heroes Campaign is raising money and changing lives for women entrepreneurs of color. With a goal of spurring 50 people to donate $250 or more, the Community Heroes Campaign has welcomed everyday heroes dedicated to supporting women-owned businesses and ending poverty.

To equip and empower women of color in combating poverty through entrepreneurship, the Millionaire Mindset Academy Pioneer Program prepares women for sustainable success with college-level business training, access to business networks and an inclusive business environment. Seed funding grants are issued to select participants at the each of each program.

This year’s Community Heroes include:

  • Lynette Furr, ICare Technology Geeks;
  • Ty Hates, Chief Information Officer of the City of Atlanta
  • Mike Taylor and Jonovan Stephens, Country Financial
  • Georgia Tax Lien Boot Camp
  • Montra McKenzie, Investors Academy Youth
  • Nicole Durio, Madison Brothers Consulting
  • Gwennetta Wright, Expert Tax Service
  • Ryan Akers, Akers Consulting

“As 2020 draws to a close, we could not be prouder of the lives we have touched and the strides we have made to fulfill this critical mission,” said program founder Velma Trayham. “We have diligently provided access to capital, resources and mentorship to our growing community and look forward to the business success stories sure to come from our upcoming program graduates.”

As women continue to make about 80 cents on the dollar compared with men in the same positions, 1 in 8 U.S. women lives in poverty, with rates even higher for women of color, according to the National Women’s Law Center. Coinciding with the fall Millionaire Mastermind Academy Pioneer Program, the Community Heroes initiative is supporting both scholarships for program attendees as well as seed funding.
